Tryout Timing and Approach:
We’re aware that some clubs begin making offers to existing players and formalizing teams for the 2026/27 season as early as April 1st. In our opinion, this is way too early and we do not take this approach. Making decisions about next year during the middle of the current season places players, families, and coaches in difficult and unfair positions, and it significantly disrupts team dynamics.
At Captains, our priority is to fully focus on the Spring season—to compete, improve, and enjoy the experience as a team. Once the season concludes in mid-May, we will shift our full attention to ID Sessions, tryouts, and planning for the 2026/27 season.
Our 2026 Spring ID Sessions will take place on May 19, 21, 26, 28, and June 2. For more information about ID Sessions, visit our ID Session page.
